AI SEO agent comparison

Alli AI alternative: RankHive vs Alli AI

Both wait for your approval. The main difference is where an approved change lives and what happens when you leave. Alli AI applies changes through its own code on your site, installed as a snippet, a tag or a plugin, and its Live Editor page says changes are tied to your subscription and revert if you cancel. RankHive drafts fixes from your Search Console data and, once you approve one, its free WordPress plugin saves it in WordPress itself: your SEO plugin’s fields or the post. Those changes stay if you cancel.

TL;DR

Pick Alli AI if you want rule-based changes across hundreds of pages, SEO A/B tests on titles, pre-rendering for AI crawlers, sites beyond WordPress, or a trial first. Pick RankHive if your site runs on WordPress and you want each approved change saved in WordPress and kept after you cancel. RankHive works only on WordPress.

How Alli AI works

Alli AI applies SEO changes through code on your site rather than through your CMS. Its pricing page lists three ways to install it: a WordPress plugin, a JavaScript snippet or a tag manager. Its AI SEO software page says it works on any CMS or framework, naming WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, React and custom builds.

After the install, Alli crawls the site and lists Recommendations. Its FAQ is firm on approval: no code change goes live until you approve it, and approved changes are live within minutes. Its help center says you can approve them one by one or all at once, and an update to its recommendations page added approval by category. Alli recrawls weekly and adds new recommendations.

Its strength is scale. Alli’s WordPress page describes rule-based changes: one rule for titles, meta descriptions or schema deploys to every matching page, however many there are. Its schema generator lets you review markup before implementing it, and its Live Editor, a Chrome extension, lets you change content on the page itself.

Two features go beyond what most agents offer. Its SEO A/B testing tries page-title variations on a share of your traffic and rolls out the winner. Its AI Visibility Engine pre-renders pages for AI crawlers; the WordPress plugin for it, launched in June 2026, is downloaded from your Alli AI dashboard (Account Settings → AI Visibility Engine → Linked Domains → Plugin Integration) and uploaded to WordPress, once the site has been approved for AI Visibility Engine.

Because Alli’s code applies the changes, the FAQ on its SEO automation page says View Source won’t show them and calls Search Console’s URL Inspection the most accurate way to check. The same dependence shows when you leave: the Live Editor page says changes are tied to the subscription and revert on cancel, and the help center asks you to remove the snippets before cancelling, because leaving them without a subscription can cause page errors.

Reading the table

Where a cell says “not stated in the sources we checked”, the research behind this page found no source for that detail. It does not mean Alli AI lacks it. Ask Alli AI, and check its current pages, because plans and features change.

On approval the two are alike: neither changes your site until you approve. The first row is where they part. A change saved in WordPress is part of what WordPress stores and serves, and it stays after you stop paying for the tool that wrote it. A change applied by Alli’s code depends on that code and that subscription, which is why its help center has you remove the snippets before you cancel.

The “fixes it makes” row shows the other difference. Alli is built for changes across many pages at once, with rules and A/B tests. RankHive drafts one fix per page, chosen from what Search Console shows for that page.

Who should pick what

Your site runs on WordPress and you want the change in WordPress
Pick RankHive

Approved fixes are saved in your SEO plugin’s fields or the post, so they show in the editor and stay if you cancel.

You want to test a title before you keep it
Pick Alli AI

Alli AI’s SEO A/B testing tries page-title variations on a share of traffic and rolls out the winner. RankHive doesn’t run A/B tests: you approve a change and judge it in Search Console.

You change patterns across hundreds of pages
Pick Alli AI

One Alli rule deploys a title, description or schema change to every matching page. RankHive drafts per page, and on WordPress a site-wide pattern belongs in your SEO plugin’s templates anyway.

You want pages pre-rendered for AI crawlers
Pick Alli AI

Its AI Visibility Engine does that, with a WordPress plugin. RankHive doesn’t pre-render pages.

Your sites aren’t all on WordPress
Pick Alli AI

Alli AI says it works on any CMS or framework, and its entry plan covers up to 5 websites. RankHive works only on WordPress, one subscription per site.

You want changes to stay if you cancel
Pick RankHive

RankHive’s changes are WordPress data. Alli AI says Live Editor changes revert when you cancel.

One job, two ways: 300 location pages with tired titles

Say your WordPress site has 300 city pages whose titles all follow one pattern, plus a blog. In Alli AI, you write one rule for the title pattern and it deploys to all 300 pages once approved, live within minutes. If you aren’t sure the new pattern is better, Alli’s A/B testing can try it on a share of traffic first and roll out the winner. You check the result with URL Inspection, since View Source won’t show it.

RankHive takes a different route. For a pattern shared by 300 pages, the right tool on WordPress is your SEO plugin’s title template, which you change once yourself; RankHive doesn’t write templates. What RankHive does is look at Search Console page by page and draft fixes where a page shows impressions without clicks, or ranks just off the first page. Some of those will be city pages, some blog posts. Each draft shows its query and position, and you approve them one at a time or the whole audit at once.

So the honest split is this: for one change across many similar pages, Alli’s rules are faster. For finding the particular pages that underperform and fixing each one, RankHive is built for it, and its changes end up in WordPress rather than in a layer on top.

Where Alli AI is the better choice

You want to test changes, not just make them. Title A/B tests on live traffic are something RankHive doesn’t offer at all.

You work at scale. Rule-based changes to titles, descriptions and schema across unlimited pages suit large sites and agencies, and the entry plan already covers up to 5 websites.

You care about AI crawlers seeing your pages. AI Visibility Engine pre-renders pages for them; RankHive doesn’t.

You can add a snippet but can’t easily edit the CMS, or your sites aren’t on WordPress. Alli works wherever its code can run. RankHive needs its WordPress plugin.

You want to try it first. All plans include a 10-day free trial. RankHive has none.

Where RankHive is the better choice

You want approved changes in WordPress. RankHive saves titles, descriptions and canonicals in Yoast SEO, Rank Math or SEOPress, and edits in the post, so View Source, the editor and your SEO plugin all show the same thing.

You want to leave without clean-up. RankHive’s changes stay when you cancel, and there is no snippet to remove first. Schema, redirects and robots.txt rules keep working while its plugin stays installed.

You want each fix tied to evidence. Every draft shows the Search Console query, impressions and position that led to it, page by page.

You run one WordPress site and want a fixed price: $49.99 a month or $499.99 a year.

Questions to ask in the Alli AI trial

If I cancel, which changes revert: only Live Editor edits, or approved recommendations and rules too?

Does the WordPress plugin save any change in WordPress itself, or does it serve AI Visibility Engine pages only?

How do crawlers that don’t run JavaScript see my changes, given that View Source doesn’t show them?

Do recommendations use my Search Console data, or only Alli’s weekly crawl?

How long can I undo a change, and does undo restore exactly what was there before?

Switching from Alli AI to RankHive

Export what Alli AI changed first. Its FAQ mentions Work done reports and recommendation exports. RankHive doesn’t import changes from Alli AI.

Copy the changes you want to keep into WordPress: titles and descriptions into your SEO plugin, content edits into the posts. Alli AI says Live Editor changes revert when you cancel, so this is the only way to keep them.

Follow Alli AI’s cancellation guide: remove its code snippets first, then an account admin cancels the subscription from Billing.

Then install RankHive’s plugin and connect Search Console. The first audit starts from what WordPress now stores. Run one agent per site. Two tools changing the same titles and descriptions overwrite each other, and you can’t tell which change moved a page.

Frequently asked questions

How does Alli AI apply SEO changes?

Through its own code on your site, installed as a JavaScript snippet, through a tag manager or with a WordPress plugin, per its pricing page. Its FAQ says approved changes go live within minutes.

Does Alli AI wait for my approval?

Yes. Its FAQ says no code change will be live on your site until you approve it. You can approve one by one, all at once or by category.

What happens to Alli AI’s changes if I cancel?

Alli AI’s Live Editor page says changes are tied to your subscription and revert when you cancel. Its help center asks you to remove the snippets first, because leaving them without a subscription can cause page errors.

Does Alli AI have a WordPress plugin?

Yes, for its AI Visibility Engine. You download it from your Alli AI dashboard, under Account Settings → AI Visibility Engine → Linked Domains → Plugin Integration, and upload it to WordPress, once the site has been approved for AI Visibility Engine.

Why can’t I see Alli AI’s changes in View Source?

The FAQ on its SEO automation page says View Source won’t show them, because Alli makes its changes with JavaScript. It calls Search Console’s URL Inspection the most accurate way to check.

Does RankHive run SEO A/B tests?

No. RankHive drafts a change, you approve it, and the Change Log records the before and after so you can compare Search Console data and revert if the result disappoints.

Is RankHive an Alli AI alternative?

For a WordPress site where you want each fix chosen from Search Console and saved in WordPress, yes. It works only with WordPress and has no A/B tests, rules across many pages or pre-rendering, so it doesn’t replace those parts of Alli AI.

How much does RankHive cost, and is there a free trial?

$49.99 a month or $499.99 a year for one WordPress site. There is no free plan or trial. Before you pay, onboarding connects your site and shows the first places RankHive found to look in your Search Console data.
