Works with Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress.

RankHive does not replace your SEO plugin. It writes the SEO titles, meta descriptions and canonical URLs you approve into the plugin you already run, and leaves the plugin’s settings alone. Pick yours for where those fields live, how its modules sit next to RankHive, and what to check when something looks wrong.

What RankHive writes into each plugin

Three fields per post or page, stored as that plugin’s own post meta, so the plugin prints a title RankHive wrote exactly as it prints one you typed.

  • Not through the SEO plugin. Page edits and internal links go into the post content, alt text into the image in the media library, and post status and new drafts into WordPress. Schema, redirects and robots.txt rules are kept and printed by the RankHive plugin.
  • Never. RankHive cannot set a focus keyword or change a URL slug, and it never edits a plugin’s site-wide settings or templates.

Each write sends all three: the new value, plus the other two as they stand when RankHive reads the post just before writing. If they changed between that read and the write, RankHive reports a conflict instead of writing. A blank value deletes the key, so the plugin’s template applies again.

Set it up

  1. 01

    Install the RankHive plugin

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add Plugin (Add New Plugin before WordPress 6.8), search for RankHive, then install and activate RankHive AI SEO Agent. It needs WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 8.1 or later.

  2. 02

    Connect and approve the site

Click Connect to RankHive on the plugin’s screen, sign in, and approve the connection. The plugin gets its own keys, so you never share your WordPress password, and its screen then names the SEO plugin it found.

  3. 03

    Connect Search Console

Sign in with Google and pick your site’s property. RankHive asks for read-only access, so it can never change anything in your Google account.

  4. 04

Subscribe and check the first change

Your first audit starts when you subscribe. After approving the first title, check your SEO plugin’s title field on that post and the title tag in the page source.

What the RankHive plugin prints itself

  • Schema. An approved schema fix is printed as one JSON-LD block in that page’s head, separate from your SEO plugin’s structured data. Switching off “Plugin-managed structured data (JSON-LD)” in the RankHive plugin’s Advanced settings (on by default) keeps approved schema but stops printing it.
  • Redirects. Approved redirects go into the RankHive plugin’s own list. Each matches one exact path, sends a 301 unless the change says otherwise, and is skipped if it would send a page to itself.
  • robots.txt. Off until you approve a robots.txt change. Then the approved lines are added to the robots.txt WordPress generates. A real robots.txt file in the site’s root folder is served instead, which hides them.

The RankHive plugin never prints a title tag or meta description; your SEO plugin does.

Approve, check, revert

  • Nothing is written until you approve. Approve one fix at a time or a whole audit with Approve all. You can edit a drafted title, description or alt text first, ask for a rewrite, or discard it. RankHive writes the moment you approve, so if the page still looks old, purge your page cache or CDN.
  • Every change is logged. The Change Log keeps the old and new value of each change, with no time limit on reverting it. New article drafts are the exception.
  • What a revert checks. A paragraph or link edit, a redirect or a robots.txt change stops and tells you if it was changed again since. A title, description, canonical, schema, alt text or status revert puts the old value back even if someone edited the field afterwards, so look at the field before you click Revert.
  • Blank before, blank after. If a post had no SEO title of its own, reverting RankHive’s title deletes the field again and your plugin’s template applies. A redirect RankHive created is switched off rather than deleted.

Price, and what stays if you cancel

RankHive costs $49.99 a month, or $499.99 a year, for one WordPress site. There is no free trial: your first audit starts when you subscribe.

Titles, descriptions, canonicals, page edits and alt text are ordinary WordPress data, so they stay if you cancel. Schema, redirects and robots.txt rules keep working while the RankHive plugin stays active; uninstalling it deletes its redirect list and settings.

No SEO plugin yet?

RankHive writes the same three fields into Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress, free or paid, so choose the plugin for everything else it does. Yoast vs Rank Math compares the four big ones, SEOPress and AIOSEO included.

Run one SEO plugin. With more than one active, RankHive writes to the first it finds, checking Yoast SEO, then Rank Math, then AIOSEO, then SEOPress. When you switch, finish the import and deactivate the old plugin before approving changes.

Not supported yet

  • All in One SEO (AIOSEO). The current RankHive plugin recognizes AIOSEO but stores titles and descriptions where AIOSEO does not read them, so approved changes would not appear on the page. It checks AIOSEO before SEOPress, so a site with both active has the same problem.
  • The SEO Framework and other SEO plugins. RankHive cannot write titles and descriptions through them.
  • No SEO plugin. Titles and descriptions are stored but not printed. Page edits, alt text, schema, redirects and robots.txt still work.
